Walesby Forest
UX/UI build
experience
THE
BRIEF
Walesby Forest is an international outdoor adventure activity centre set in over 250 acres of Sherwood Forest. The site has been welcoming visitors since 1938 and boasts over 30 activities, as well as accommodation suited to a variety of visitor groups. Following a rebrand and definition of a long-term brand strategy, we were commissioned to plan, design and build an information-driven website where users could book events and activities and immerse themselves in the essence of adventure.
THE
SOLUTION
Following a successful branding project, the client required our UX / UI support for the build and launch of a new information-driven website. The purpose of the platform was to inform users about the centre and encourage them to book events, trips and activities.
We began the process by profiling Walesby’s typical platform users and establishing their goals and motivations when interacting with the site. This helped us build a succinct and effective experience, prioritising the user journeys of scouts, guides and the general public. With over 30 different activities available to book including kayaking, climbing, camping and archery, the site required a dynamic filtering system and a flexible CMS for future updates, announcements and event promotions.
The site was built on a scalable WordPress platform with a vibrant and engaging interface reflecting the fun and established identity of the recent rebrand.

“Myself and a colleague recently attended a branding day with The Dairy Agency – part of a bigger programme of work to update our website and improve our social media. The branding day was in a word, great. One very satisfied customer.”
