We’ve announced a deserved promotion for our social media specialist Elise Quirk following the completion of her Digital Marketing Apprenticeship with Nottingham College.
Elise joined the business in May 2023 with previous agency experience, alongside an in-depth knowledge of social media and video.
As our Digital Marketing Apprentice, Elise has spent the previous 18 months supporting our digital function – bolstering her knowledge and expertise with organic social media. Elise has also worked through her Level 3 qualification with the College while working full-time supporting the agency’s client base with content planning, creation, project delivery and strategic ideation.
Following the completion of her apprenticeship, Elise has been retained by the business and promoted to the position of Social Media Executive, continuing with her responsibilities of implementing social media strategies and curating content which appeals to distinct audiences across the agency’s diverse client base.
Speaking about Elise completing her apprenticeship and her recent promotion, company Director Tom Walters said, “The apprenticeship model is one we’ve used several times and one which we feel achieves consistently high quality results – not just for the business, but also for the individual,”
“We appreciate how hard it is for young people to gain a foothold in such a competitive industry,” adds Tom. “So if we can offer these opportunities, nurture the right talent and empower these individuals with driving their careers, and our business, forward in the future, then the results are incredibly rewarding,”
Speaking about Elise’s journey, Tom continues, “Elise joined us following a false start to her apprenticeship journey – through no fault of her own. Since coming on board eighteen months ago, she’s excelled in so many areas. Clients love working with her and she has all of the creativity and ambition required to curate innovative social content which consistently delivers results for brands,”
“We always said that there was a position for Elise at the end of her apprenticeship and we’re delighted to be able to retain her talent and offer her a richly deserved promotion. We very much look forward to supporting Elise through the next stage of her career.”
Elise is delighted to have completed her qualification and feels that The Dairy is the right place for her to continue to hone her skills and make her mark in a fast-paced industry.
“Social media is a very popular area of specialism for young people breaking into marketing so when I decided that it was the path I wanted to take, I was keen to find an employer who wanted to support me for the long-term. I also wanted to learn at an institution with creativity at its core – and Nottingham College is renowned for its ability to educate and develop young people with a passion for the creative industries,”
Elise continues, “The Dairy has invested a lot of time and resources into my career so far, supporting me throughout my apprenticeship and empowering me to think autonomously and believe in my ideas. I’m really happy to know that I am here for the long-term and it’s incredibly rewarding to be taking on the position of Social Media Executive. It feels like the perfect fit and I can’t wait to see what’s next both for me, and the business.”
